How Brain Genius Kids
handles data,
clearly and minimally.
This policy covers the Brain Genius Kids website, Luminoo, and Dreamtime Stories. The operating rule is simple: collect the minimum needed to run the products, avoid child-facing ad tech entirely, and keep app analytics first-party.

Who we are
Brain Genius Kids publishes Luminoo and Dreamtime Stories and operates braingeniuskids.com. This policy explains how we handle data across the website and both apps.
COPPA comes first
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without the protections required by COPPA.
- We do not ask children for names, email addresses, photos, or free-form text.
- We do not use behavioral advertising targeting children.
- We do not sell or share children's data with third parties.
- Limited first-party app analytics may use a device-local anonymous identifier for internal operations and product improvement, as described below.
What we collect
Parent accounts
When a parent creates an account, we collect an email address and password hash. This data is used only for account management and support.
Website data
We do not currently run analytics on the braingeniuskids.com website.
Dreamtime app analytics
Dreamtime Stories may collect limited product analytics to understand app usage, improve features, and measure reliability. This can include screens viewed, category and story interactions, playback start and playback summary events, paywall and subscription events, authentication outcomes, app version, platform, language, and account access tier.
These analytics events are stored only in our own backend database. We do not share them with any third-party analytics processor or advertising network.
Guest activity is associated with a device-local anonymous identifier (anonymousId). If a parent signs in, relevant analytics can also be associated with the authenticated account identifier (userId) so we can understand account-level product usage without attaching child names or other direct child personal information.
Raw analytics events are retained for up to 90 days. Short-lived deduplication receipts used to prevent duplicate event ingestion are retained for up to 14 days.
We do not send child names, child photos, raw passwords, free-form text, or full navigation payloads in analytics events. We do not use app analytics for behavioral advertising.
Email subscriptions
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time.
What we do not ask children to provide
- No child name, email address, photo, or free-form text submission flows.
- No behavioral advertising cookies or ad-tech SDKs.
- No sale of data to third parties.
- No app analytics used to profile children for advertising or cross-app tracking.
How data is protected
All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Account passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We follow industry-standard security practices for data storage.
Third-party services
- Google Play for app distribution and payment processing.
- Netlify for website hosting.
Your options and controls
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Opt out of email communications.
- Request a copy of your data.
If you want to delete your Dreamtime Stories account, use the in-app delete-account flow or visit our account deletion page.
